This dip is especially great with rugged chips. It also holds on to vegetable crudité like carrots, radishes, celery, sugar snap peas and color bell peppers. Make a colorful party starter centered around this dip with kettle potato chips and multi-grain tortilla chips plus a variety of colorful vegetables. It will be a smash hit!
Recipe: Creamy Italian Feta Dip
Prep Time: 8 Minutes | Cook Time: 0 Minutes | Yield: 3 Cups | Level: Easy
- 2 cups crumbled feta cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 garlic cloves, micro grated
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried dill weed
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
Special Equipment – food processor
1 Place the feta, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, basil, oregano, dill and thyme in a food processor. Process until smooth and creamy.
2 Serve right away or chill but allow to soften at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before serving.
To ensure the garlic is thoroughly mixed, finely mince or microplane grate it right into the food processor bowl so it will be evenly distributed when processed.
Serve with crunchy kettle potato chips that hold up to a thick, creamy dip. Serve with pretzels, multi-grain pita chips or scoop corn chips.
Serve with vegetable sticks.
